While search ing for his miss ing father , Kit Taylor finds an Adv ent Deck - a special card deck t hat allows the carrier to transform into a Ka men Rider and utilize unique weapons and powers - and us es it to become Kamen Rider Dragon Kn ight. He butts h eads with L en, who serves as Kame n Rider Wing Knight, but t he pair join forces after K it learns that the wicked General Xaviax has impr isoned his father and is u sing him and the other huma ns that his monsters ab duct to gai n power and rebuil d his homeworld. Later on Kase, a fellow su rvivor of Ve ntara like Len, would j oin forces with Len and Kit to fight Xa viax. In addition to training Kit to fig ht like a Rider, Len and Kase tell Kit all about the twelve Riders who banded together as the p rotectors o f Ventara - a world op posit e to our own - to take Xaviax down. Howev er, due to the traitoro us acti ons of Kit9;s predecessor, Adam, General Xaviax destroye d most of the Riders via a process called V enting - wh ich trap s defeated Riders in the &qu ot;Adv ent Void" between dim ensions forever - and stol e their Advent Decks.
