While searching for his missing father, Kit Taylor find s an Adv ent Deck - a spec ial card deck that allows the carr ier to transform into a Ka men Rider and utilize u nique weapon s an d powe rs - and uses it to become Kam en Rider Dr agon Knight. He bu tts heads wi th Len, who serv es as Kamen Rider Wing Knigh t, but the pair join forces after Kit learns that the wicked General X aviax has imprisoned his father and is using him and the ot her humans t hat hi s monsters abduct to gain po wer and rebuild his homew orld. Later on Ka se, a fellow surviv or of Ve ntara like Len, would join forces wit h Len and Kit to fight Xaviax. In addition to t rain ing Kit to fight li ke a Rider, Len and Kase tell Kit all about the twelve Rider s who banded together as the pr otec tors of Ventara - a world opposite to our own - to take Xaviax down. Howev er, d ue to the traitorous actions of Kit's predecessor, Adam, General X aviax dest royed most o f the Rid ers via a process called Venting - w hich traps defea ted Riders in the "Adv ent Voi d" b etween dimensions forever - and stole their Advent Decks.
