While searching for his missing father , Kit Taylor finds an Advent Deck - a special car d deck t hat allows the carrier to t ransform into a Kamen Rider and uti lize uniq ue weapon s and powers - and uses it to become Kam en Rider Dragon Knight . He butts hea ds with Len, who serves as Kamen Rider Wing Knight, but t he pair join forces afte r Kit learns that the wicked General Xa viax has imprisoned his father and i s us ing him and the other humans that his monste rs abduct to gain power and rebuild his homewor ld. Later on K ase, a fell ow survi vor of Ventara like Le n, would join forces wi th Len an d Kit to fight Xaviax. In additio n to training Kit to fi ght like a Rider, Len and Kase tell Kit all about t he twelve Riders who banded toget her as the p rotectors of Ventara - a world o pposi te to our own - to take Xaviax down. However, due to the traitorous acti ons of Kit& #39;s p redecessor, Adam, General Xaviax destro yed most of the Riders via a process called Ven ting - which traps defeated Riders in the & quot;Advent Void&q uot; between dimensions fo rever - and stol e thei r Advent De cks.
