Filming has begun on the fourth seri es of popular Ba th-based detective drama McDona ld Dod ds, starr ing Ta la Gouveia and BAFTA award-winner Jason Watki ns. Compr ising three feature length films (3 x120), the gues t cast for the firs t story i nclud es Toby St ephens (Lost I n Space), singersongwriter Pixie Lott (The Voic e Kids), Lydia L eonard (Gentleman Jack), Daniel Lapai ne (Catastrophe), Dipo Ola (Landscapers), John Go rdon Sinclair (Gregory’s Girl) a nd Ace Bhatti (Line of Duty). In this first f ilm, Mc Donald an d Dodds begin to investigate when a middle-aged woman is found shot dead in a re nted flat. The k iller has removed all clues to her id entit y, but DNA reve als she we nt missi ng over 35 years ago. Where has she been al l those years And w ho with Returning to the cast this series are Claire Sk inner (O utnumbered) who plays Chief Superinte ndent Ormond and Cha rlie Cham bers (EastEnders ) who p lays DC Goldie. Bhavik C. Pankhania (World On Fire) joins the line up as DC Lee. The series has been commissioned for ITV by Polly Hill a nd Huw Kenna ir Jones and will be produ ced by Jo e Shru bb.
