Filming has begun on t he fourth series o f popular Bath-based detective d rama McDonald Dodds, s tarri ng Tala G ouveia and BAFTA aw ard-winner Jason Watkins. Comprising thr ee featur e leng th films (3 x120), the gue st cast for t he first story includes T oby Stephens (Los t In Space), singersongwriter Pixie Lott (The Voice Kids), Lydia Leonard (Gentle man Jack), Daniel Lapaine (Catastrophe), D ipo Ola (Landsc apers), John Gordon Sin clair (Gregory’ s Girl) and Ace Bhatti (Lin e of Duty). In thi s first film, McDonald and Dodds begin to i nvestigate whe n a middle-aged woman is found shot dead in a rented flat. The killer has removed all clues to her identity, but DNA rev eals she went missing over 35 years ago. W here has s he been al l those years And who with Ret urning to the cast th is series are Claire Skinner (Outn umbered) who plays Chief Superin tendent Or mond and Charlie Chambers (EastEnders ) who p lays DC Goldie. Bhavik C. Pankhania (World On Fire) joins th e line up as DC Lee. The seri es has been commiss ioned for ITV by Polly Hi ll and Huw Kennair Jones and wi ll be prod uced b y Joe Sh rubb.
