Series Eig hteen starts airing on 29 January 2012 with seven episodes (not including the India Specia l),[1] following on f rom the 2011 Ch ristmas special which aired on 28 December 2011 .[2] In th e special they take a route a cross India, the first of the many countr ies T op Gear plans to visi t over the co urse of the new series, accordi ng to Jeremy Clarkson. Hammond meanwhile w ill drive a 2012 BMW M5 F10, and May will ha ve a Vaux hall Corsa Nürburgring Edition. Another featur e is g oing to China t o test drive Chinese cars, Italy in 3 super-cars, La mborghini Ave ntador , Noble M600 and a McLaren MP4-12C. Also James May is takin g a tri p to USA to test sports hybrid supercar Fisker Karma, meet ACDC fro ntman Brian Johnson and drive his 1928 Bentley Vand en Plas LeMans T ourer. According to To p Gear E xecutive P roducer Andy Wilman, Clarkson, Hamm ond and M ay are g oing to northern Sweden as well, where they will race th e new Ferrari FF acros s a Silverstone Circuit-shaped ice tr ack.
