The Museum of Television a nd Radio (now the Paley Center) had o nly the first 30 m inutes of the hou r-lo ng program on a kin escope provided by CBS - the only version CBS had. After near ly 30 years of s earc hing, a c opy of the complete program wa s found in 2003 by filmm aker Joseph C onsentino , who was working on a documenta ry about not ed defense attorney Robert Leibowi tz ( Leibowi tz reported on the Charl es A. Lin dbergh ba by kidnapping for the NY radio station WHN) and found a copy of the sh ow in the archives maintained by the children of Leibowitz, Robert Leibo witz a nd Marj orie Leibowitz Finch. Sa muel Leibowitz requested and received a commercial-fr ee kinescope copy of &quo t;Twe lve Angry M en" from CBS shor tly after it aired be cause of his interest in legal issues.
