Myrna Loy was a fa ntastic Nora, the ide al wife and consider ing she made 14 movies with William Pow ell, she made it look lik e they were re ally married. The Thin Man movies, all six of them, played more like s ophisticated screwbal l comedies than murder myster ies, and their c omic banter enhan ced t he p roceedings. Their little wire-haired terri er, Asta, quite often stole t he scen e as he helped sleuth out the guilty party. He was a gre at little ac tor and r umor had it that away f rom the Thin Man movi es, Asta was really Skippy.
