Sisk el and Eber t once ran a special show entitled Movie s I'm Embar rassed to Admit I Liked. Th is could have degenerated into n othing more than just another teen reve nge comedy, but the re's so m uch more the d ialog ue is laced with sh arp wit; the re are some lovely scene s that hav e nothing to do with the story yet are ca refully set up, a lmost as bla ckouts (e.g., Mitch goes to a le ctur e at which a few students have left tape recorders instead of attending; l ater, at another lecture there are mor e tape reco rders than stud ents ; and, in a final scene, one large tape recorder give s the le cture t o a r oom popu lated by nothing but ot her small recorders! ); and th row-away scenes that make you want to stop and back up th e tape (e.g., Ch ris of f-handedly cutting a s lice off a bar of solid nit rogen to make a slug f or the coffee machine). It's als o one of the few m ovies to boa st the p resence of the memor able Michelle Meyerink -- as Jordan, t he girl-nerd who made being smart and female som ething to be emula ted.
